School directory coverage
The current directory contains 5,965 active postsecondary institutions reported in NCES IPEDS HD2024. It includes locations in U.S. states, territories, and freely associated states as reported in the dataset. It is not a complete list of every U.S. school.
Reported fields, not a live catalog
Program discovery uses 267,430 reported CIP field-and-award combinations from the C2024_A completions survey, labeled using CIP 2020 titles. A reported field is historical information. It does not mean a similarly named program is currently offered or accepting applicants.
What to verify
Check current programs, entry requirements, costs, international eligibility, deadlines, accreditation, and SEVP status directly with the institution or relevant authority. Directory inclusion alone establishes none of those.
